The golden color + the fact that the waterfall lies in the old gold mining region gave the name to this pretty waterfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you ask us, this waterfall is a little bit overrated though. Note that we are nature lovers and not really found of those really touristy spots. So a waterfall in which you can not swim (apparently the water is very toxic&nbsp;due to its proximity to the gold mining area)  and enjoy the surrounding nature must be really impressive for us to like it. Unfortunately, the Golden waterfall was a little bit disappointing for us. I wouldn&#8217;t go there only to see it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if you plan on going to <a href=\"https:\/\/myroomabroad.com\/blog\/trip-to-jiufen\/\">Jiufen<\/a> or hiking the <a href=\"https:\/\/myroomabroad.com\/blog\/teapot-mountain-and-banpingshan-trail\/\">Teapot Mountain<\/a>, you can definitely pass by to take a nice shot of the fall like we did \ud83d\ude42<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOW FAR FROM TAIPEI?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>40 min train + 30 min bus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>40 min by car<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOW TO GET THERE?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Train + Bus:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From anywhere in Taipei, go to Taipei Main Station<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take the train to <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/gY7A6nat2ggpmVXu6\">Ruifang Station \u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"513\" src=\"https:\/\/myroomabroad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Jiufen-ruifang-bus-map-1024x513.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myroomabroad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Jiufen-ruifang-bus-map-1024x513.png 1024w, https:\/\/myroomabroad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Jiufen-ruifang-bus-map-300x150.png 300w, https:\/\/myroomabroad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Jiufen-ruifang-bus-map-768x385.png 768w, https:\/\/myroomabroad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Jiufen-ruifang-bus-map.png 1372w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At Ruifang Station take the Exit West to get to the bus station<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you have exited the station and are facing the Welcome take left and walk for about 250 meter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you see the police station on your right, <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/7Z2ZLF669Nx6RwaE6 \">the bus<\/a> stop is next to the police station. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take the 856 Fulung Visitor Center [Taiwan Tourist Shuttle]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stop at <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/4AFZXfMgw4rXcu556\">Huangjin Waterfall<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/QhUqNmiqiHSRatbD9\">Golden waterfall<\/a> is right next to the bus stop, you really can\u2019t miss them as they are not really hidden :p\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you for reading our article!
