Most MRT stations will have a kiosk near its vicinity, they aren&#8217;t always near the main entrances so you may have to walk around to find it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-da52aa42 gb-headline-text\"><strong>Step 2: Follow on-screen instructions<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After you find the kiosk, you&#8217;ll notice a touch-screen panel. Follow these next steps to complete your registration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pick your language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8220;I want to rent a YouBike&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8220;Join Member&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accept the &#8220;Terms of Use&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in your information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify your phone number via SMS confirmation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete registration<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you&#8217;re done with these steps, your EasyCard or iPass Card will now have access to all YouBikes in Taiwan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Register for YouBike Service (Online)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to plan ahead and register for YouBikes early, you can register via <a href=\"https:\/\/en.youbike.com.tw\/region\/main\/register\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">YouBike&#8217;s official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll need the following: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Taiwan Phone Number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passport Number\/ARC Number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EasyCard \/ iPASS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have these, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click &#8220;Next&#8221;. After that, just follow the instructions on the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Find a YouBike Station<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>YouBike is available in many major cities across Taiwan, including Taipei, New Taipei City, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung. Each city has its own network of stations, making it easy to explore the area you&#8217;re visiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will always find YouBike stations outside MRT stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Google Maps and YouBike 2.0 (<a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/tw\/app\/youbike%E5%BE%AE%E7%AC%91%E5%96%AE%E8%BB%8A2-0-%E5%AE%98%E6%96%B9%E7%89%88\/id1483423095\">iOS<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=tw.com.youbike.plus&amp;hl=zh_TW&amp;gl=US&amp;pli=1\">Android<\/a>) is also a great way to find YouBike stations near you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Inspect your YouBike<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before tapping your EasyCard or iPASS card and renting out the bike. Make sure to give your bike a quick inspection. Sometimes the tires may be flat, the seat will be loose, and possibly other issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Note: Do not rent bikes with their seats reversed. It means the bike requires repair. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rent \/ Return your YouBike<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have found a working YouBike, first press on the green button and just tap and hold your EasyCard or iPass on the Sensor Zone until the bike unlocks itself from the dock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you want to return your YouBike, just go to any empty dock and return your bike.
